Queen Beatrix will step down and her son Willem-Alexander will become King of the Netherlands, and of course of our beautiful islands as well. 

The island is showing signs of orange, Willemstad has been decorated and my orange outfit is ready to go!

Tomorrow is Queens Day in The Kingdom of the Netherlands. This party is celebrated all through the country, but I believe that the one in Amsterdam is surely the best. Whether you are cramped up on one of the thousand boats on the canals, dancing on the music filled square, buying other peoples stuff on the street markets or hanging out in a bar, Queens day in that city is just amazingly orange. Yes everything is orange. If you have never been, try to plan it for next year! Enjoy everyone! Let me know how your Queens Day was.
